The shortlisted sports clubs range from football and cricket teams, to bowling and boxing groups, and now need your vote to help them secure a share of £250,000 in building materials. Prizes will be allocated based on the results of the public vote, as well as recommendations from an industry judging panel.
Supporters need to act quickly however, as voting closes on Wednesday 20th June.

Thierry Dufour, Managing Director at Jewson, commented: “Sports clubs are often the lifeblood of their local area, bringing communities together and helping people of all ages develop. The clubs we’ve shortlisted are proof of that, which is why we’re encouraging people to get behind their local club, show their support and vote.”
Building Better Communities rewards both community projects like grassroots sports team, and heroes of the building trade. For 2018, Jewson has asked the public to nominate their deserving causes and will provide one project up to £50,000, as well as many smaller grants to others. Jewson will also give away £100,000 of the fund to tradespeople who go above and beyond in their local area, or builders who have always supported others but now find themselves in need.
The winning projects will be announced on Tuesday 3rd July at a ceremony hosted by celebrity architect, George Clarke.
Voting closes on Wednesday 20th June. The initiative is being supported by Jewson supplier brands: Velux; Marshalls, Polypipe; British Gypsum; Tarmac; Recticel and Norbord.
